2012 marks the commencement of the Castrol Edge Rugby Championships. Argentina has been confirmed alongside South Africa, New Zealand and Australia to play in the inaugural home and away Championship which will replace the former Tri Nations series.

The Blaze Agency believe the Rugby Championships will provide a huge boost to Southern Hemisphere Rugby in an effort to mirror the success of the Northern Hemisphere’s Six Nations tournament. With support & initiative from the IRB it is a distinct possibility we could see the emergence of a combined Pacific Islander team in the years ahead to further strengthen the competition.

The Qantas Wallabies will open The Castrol Edge Rugby Championship against Rugby World Cup winners the All Blacks at ANZ Stadium in Sydney on Saturday, 18 August.
